Siam Country Club Old Course
The Siam Country Club is part of a trio of top rated golf courses in the Pattaya area. Lying just a short drive from the holiday resort, the ‘Old Course’, as it is affectionately known, is one of Thailand’s oldest and most famous. Recent renovations have seen the championship course compete with the very best contemporary courses.
Lee Schmidt and Brian Curley revamped the Siam Country Club, which resides amid low hills east of Pattaya. Playing host to the likes of the Honda LPGA Classic (2010), the undulating course is good year round and boasts several dramatic holes. Siam Country Club is open every day and visitors are welcome.
There is a grass driving range near to the club house, along with several practise greens nearby. The revamped Siam Country clubhouse is open on all sides to the elements and features an enviable restaurant and bar area together with locker rooms and other golfing facilities.
Siam Country Club is just 30 minutes from central Pattaya, where the bulk of the hotels are. Everything from budget to five-star luxury is represented here, with some of the cheapest rates in the whole of Thailand. The main beach and Beach Road areas have most of the action and are lined with hotels, shops and eateries.
