Imperial Lake View Resort and Golf Club
This tropical resort 30 minutes or so from Hua Hin and Cha Am is two (or four) courses in one, with two 18-holers to choose form. Its parkland layout amid orchards, together with an excellent clubhouse and onsite resort, make the Imperial Lake View Resort and Golf Club a favourite with local golfers as well as visitors.
Host of the 2016 Asian Tour Q-school venue, the Imperial Lake View’s courses are fairly equal in length. The A-B course is the original from 1993, while the C and D courses, noted as the Desert and Lake View Links courses, came later in 2006. They can be mixed and matched to offer something different for the discerning golfer.
Golf carts make light of the undulating fairways and the practise area is open to all golfers and includes a putting greens and driving range. Changing facilities at the clubhouse also feature a spa and swimming pool and there’s a good restaurant on site.
The accommodation generally appeals more to visiting Asian golfing groups and locals, while Westerners tend to stay in Cha Am or the larger Hua Hin, both of which have a vast choice of hotels. It does, however, offer good rooms with complete amenities and hospitality, though entertainment is a little lacking.
